Hansel & Gretel is a must if you enjoy something a little different. Signposted from Lagos, this Pancake and Lunch restaurant sits on the edge of the scenic Barragem da Bravura. The food is outstanding with attention to detail and exciting ingredients. The staff are a lot of fun and are serious about their fairytale connection. The restaurant is the perfect place for a trip out of town with many beautiful woodland walks all around.

The pancakes are so good you will keep going back for more.
We were at Hansel & Gretel this weekend. The fireplace was lit, there were beautiful candles on the tables, the atmosphere was warm and cosy and a little odd.... (well how would you feel with a magical hat on your head...), but the food was excellent! Woahw, my wife had the Goat Cheese Salad and I had a Pancake Black Sorcerer. We definitely go back to try the other things on the menu, because it was just outstanding. And if you're there.... don't forget to read the NEW fairytale about the restaurant; it's fun!
Sandwiches were mediocre and I guess the pancakes are good but the (only 2 days on job) waitress confused the order and brought salad instead of pancakes. They offered to exchange but after waiting 40 minutes to get it we ate and left.
