Taberna de Lagos

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

Taberna de Lagos is without doubt one of the most beautiful buildings in Lagos. The traditional stone interior is complimented by the artworks and fixtures. The menu is creative and varied and the food is cooked and presented with care. There is a huge selection of wines to choose from which can be advised upon by the very helpful and friendly international staff. This venue is a treat and very easy to find on Rua 25 de Abril.

I had the Lamb with sauteed potato and vegetables. The whole meal was great. Lovely big tender shoulder joint wit a port wine sauce.

I hope this has changed for years this website used to say its a rip off.. I wonder why the change in review when although under new management the prices are still the same in fact the menu has not changed. Could it be that a friend has taken over. I wait till the members of http://www.tripadvisor.com comment

Jenni said - the whole evening was brilliant - fabulous choice of food - my decision to have Beef Wellington was obviously the right one as great taste and presentation. Staff very friendly - a place to start the evening at the bar, into the restaurant for great food with good selection of courses and wines. I will definately go back to try the lamb on my next visit to Lagos

Good food - in my opinion, the quality of the food justified the cost (There is a varied menu - I had the mouthwatering chicken!). Great staff - Marco and his staff made my friend and I very welcome. Will most definitely go again and would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good atmosphere, good service and good food.

tried it last night and yes the food was good but still compared with many places in the town overpriced and small portion also if you decide to eat outside be aware that the waitress seemed to forget that you are out there!!

When we were in Lagos recently we were taken here and were really delighted with the whole experience. Great bar and friendly atmosphere. I loved the dining room and the service we got from our lovely waitress was second to none. In fact she made the evening. I had one of the best gazpachos I have ever had followed by one of their Argentinian steaks. Yes a little expensive but worth every penny. The wines were superb, probalbly some of the best i had had in Portugal and no real money. All in all a fabulous evening. Well worth a visit John
