Casinha do Petisco

Casinha do Petisco - This is another great Portuguese Restaurant offering traditional dishes at great prices and always delicious. It is small and very popular with the locals as well as any visitors who are lucky enough to come across it. Try their fried squid dish and remember, get there early to avoid disappointment. According to Andy Kelly and Ryan Grant, they make the best prawns in town.

  • Address: Rua da Oliveira ( Next to Whyte's Bar )
  • Open All Year

This is possibly the best restaurant i've ever eaten at. Once you eat here you won't eat anywhere else. Luiz is an unbelievable chef! The food is very cheap and it's very hard to finish your meal there is that much food on the plate. Myself and my Wife had the home-style prawns between us as a starter before every meal (and we ate there every night bar Sunday when they are closed) You can actually reserve a table but only until 7pm

This is my uncle (in law's) restaurant, I'm so pleased to read all the reviews Luis is a fantastic chef and I've never known anyone work as hard as he does, he deserves all these great comments.

A great homely restaurant food is fabulous and huge portions a very busy restaurant, we were there last Oct 2009 and found it difficult to get a table but we went back the next night and we got a table, it was well worth it. Would highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to dining there a few times during our stay in Lagos in July 2010.

My favourite restaurant in Lagos! Be sure to make a reservation - the place gets full and stays that way. The marinated carrots are great as a starter... but go easy, because the main dishes are massive and are too good to let go to waste. Their house prawns made me weep with delight. Seriously. Bon appetit!

I Ate at this restaurant whilst on holiday in Lagos last year and I can honestly say it was the best food i have ever tasted! My only regret is that we didn't eat there more than once! We are coming back to Lagos this year with some friends, and I'd just like to know if I could contact them via email to book on advance? I don't want to miss out! If anyone can help please let me know. Thank you.
